HINTS TO UMPIRES.

PREFACE.

For any game to be really enjoyable,it must be in charge of good umpires. The standard of play can not only be improved, but completely changed by the presence of a good umpire, and the reverse, unfortunately, is just as true. Now. that Net Ball is being played enthusiastically by so many clubs that the call for umpires becomes daily greater, the All England Women's Net Ball Association considers that some practical help is needed. The Association has therefore compiled the following book of hints which attempts to give general advice, to define equipment, and to supply detailed notes on the Rules of Net Ball.
