Hi and Welcome to the first of the new monthly newsletters from NetballOnline.com
April is fast approaching and it is a busy month for netball with the UK Netball Superleague grand final taking place and the new Trans Tasman Trophy starting'.
The UK Superleague has been closely contested this year due to reigning champions TeamBath loosing the 'cream' of their team to the Netball World Championships in November 2007. The loss of these players levelled the playing field and has made for some amazingly close fought matches. The NSL grand final is on 5th April and we have two tickets to give away to this sold out event. To win, you need to have used/posted to the forum between today and the draw which takes place on the 31st March 2008.
The new Tasman Trophy starts on the 5th April in New Zealand and looks set to showcase the best netball on the planet. Teams from Australia and New Zealand, comprising home grown talent sprinkled with players from around the globe, play 17 weeks of top class netball.
Changes to the rules of Netball came into force on the 1st March 2008 which for the most part appear to be aimed at reducing stoppages and subsequent disruption of the game.
