Netball Olympic Bid

Netball isn't currently part of the Olympic games but there is a growing campaign to get it included in the coming 2012 Olympics to be held in London.

London Olympics 2012

A campaign was started earlier this year by Eboni Beckford Chambers on Facebook. The group has grown and the campaign now has the backing of England and the other Home Countries Netball Associations, and Prime Minister Gordon Brown has also indicated that he would like to see netball included in the London 2012 programme as a showcase event.

The Co-operative, sponsors of the netball Superleague, have also lent their support to England Netball in supporting netball's bid to be played at the greatest stage of all.

Follow the links to the right and add your voice to the growing call for netball to become an Olympic sport.
