Regional Development Coach (Cornwall)

JOB TITLE:

 Netball Regional Development Coach

Approx. 300 hours per annum, 3 year fixed term contract
 
PAY RANGE:

 £4,000 per annum plus travel expenses
 
LOCATION:

 This role will involve mainly working in the Cornwall area but will include travel across the whole region.
 
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

 We are seeking a qualified Netball Coach who has worked with talented athletes and has an ability to mentor other coaches. The role includes a significant amount of project work.
 
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO:

 Regional Talent Coach
 

This role will include the following work:

Work in the Regional Excel Pathway

Directed visits to Satellite Academies in Cornwall
Coach Education and mentoring

Working with team of regional development coaches to develop and deliver workshops for coaches and scouts as part of the talented coach programme and regional scouting programme.
Delivery of workshops which cascade national messages to a local level
Provide opportunities for coaches working with talented players by opening sessions for observation
Provide structured mentoring to the Head Coaches of Satellite Academies
Athlete support

Coaching of athlete workshops, to identified players from across the region (directed by Regional Talent Coach)
Point of contact for coaches and athletes, providing advice on lifestyle, club choice, training etc.
Talent Identification

Involvement in Regional Screening Process which will include screening athletes and educating scouts and coaches
Attend Satellite Academy screenings
Scouting at County schools tournaments and regional schools tournaments
