IN March seven teams are set to sizzle at the 2010 Sydney Olympic Park Netball Cup, the official pre-season tournament of the ANZ Championship.
With the draw announced last week, host team NSW Swifts will go head-to-head with West Coast Fever in the opening match on Friday, March 5.
The three-day tournament will be held at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on Friday March 5, Saturday, March 6 and Sunday, March 7.
The tournament will feature seven of the 10 ANZ Championship teams and give netball fans their only chance to see many of the world’s best players in the same place at the same time.
The participating ANZ Championships teams are NSW Swifts, Adelaide Thunderbirds, Southern Steel (NZ), Central Pulse (NZ) Melbourne Vixens, Queensland Firebirds and West Coast Fever.
There will be 21 games of elite netball on show across three action-packed days.
Netball NSW general manager Carolyn Campbell said it was a great way to get a taste of the ANZ Championship action.
Tickets for the event are on sale at $15 a day or $30 for a three-day-pass.
