Scanlan a long shot to return for Steel

Sheryl Scanlan is a long shot to return to the Southern Steel line-up for the final round of the ANZ Championship.

Scanlan has missed the last three games due to a calf injury.

Coach Robyn Broughton says they still do not know if she will be fit for tomorrow's crucial clash with the Swifts in Invercargill. Broughton says even if she is fit, it might not be prudent want to change a winning line up. She says the side has begun to establish some new combinations.

The Steel must win their final round match and then wait for the last game on Monday night between the Firebirds and Fever to see whether they have made the top four.
