....The Chequers' team rendition of the “Dying Fly” on their first centre pass was particularly memorable, and some thought it harsh as the umpire penalised them for held ball as the spectators cried with laughter. Also Captain for Marbella Jets, Sandra Mole will never be the same again after a minor possession dispute with the her opposite number from ESNS lead to a playground “let’s all pile on top”, lead by umpire Amy Ireson from Chequers, which again received loud applause and much amusement from the crowd. Also of note on Sunday was the ability of the Bullock girls to burst into a rendition of the latest hits of Beyonce at any given moment.

Many people aren't aware that Netball is not an Olympic sport; in fact, most are surprised to learn that a sport played by 20 million people worldwide and 1 million people in the UK every week isn't included in the Olympic schedule.
Netball in England is going from strength to strength. The UK’s international teams are performing better than ever on a world stage, so why not step up this success onto the Olympic stage?
The Olympic Games is the pinnacle of sporting competition. Of course Netball wants to be involved. As a predominantly women’s sport it would also send a powerful message that it is legitimate for women to play team sport at the highest level.
Gordon Brown has already indicated that he would like to see netball included in the London 2012 programme as a showcase event, and The Co-operative have just announced they are supporting the bid so we will wait and see.
England player Eboni Beckford-Chambers has a Facebook group called "BID TO GET NETBALL IN THE 2012 OLYMPICS". It already has...

Hiya Noo Noo, yeah i think you're right, but she's pretty entrenched!!
Well, another match, this time the local fun league, like 'is anyone going to turn up' fun! Well, Ellis's team are there, all 7, only 2 are looking a bit flaky. The opposition have arrived, down one player and their team kit's looking like it's been cobbled together from what looks like the lost property box. I'll say this for Ellis's team, they look immaculate. Hair-beautifully coiffed, doe-eyed make-up, probably not water-proof though and kit been ironed through (ok Ellis' s underside of skirt shows the iron outline). The Ref. does the nail check; not before Ellis's team have already done theirs - out comes the manicure set for the cuticles...the Ref explains about nail length-Fran from our team wowls that her nails have just been done and they're supposed to be that length..the Ref is shaking her head, Fran wowls more accusing the Ref. of having too much testosterone (well she said it rather more crudely) and storms off, followed...

Ok, end of training session..big game coming up so lots expected. Ellis not doing so well. I'm puzzled, she's looking a bit psyched. She really does have potential but you can see on her face she's dying inside. I'm sat there watching her crucify herself...mental checklist of possible causes....injury NO, ill No, worry about coursework not handed in at school NO (well it blummin ought to be!!!!) still...fallen out with team mates NEVER. Hmm. I look over to the bench..Coach Ratchett is there and the penny drops..i've seen that look before..the disapproving parent look that you're never quite good enough and now I'm angry. It's bad enough coming from a real parent but from someone the children (and that's what they are, children despite their precocious talent) seek encouragement, praise, constructive criticism!Fine, chide them for being unfit, lambast them when they bunch crudely together like they're playing hi-fives, shout when they throw balls widely to invisible team mates, shriek when they forget to jump...

Well, my seasons over, officially !
Pretty much my all my teams and squad seasons have finished.
On the start of the school holidays though i went to Mildura in country Victoria for a netball tournament ! Unfortunately I was expecting it to be ALOT bigger, but actually there was only 4 teams in the open section, the section my team was playing in, but the 4 was including us ! My team isnt usually in open section, we are usually the second section, first reserve. We eventually came third in the open section which was great, although it didnt feel as great as 3rd would usually feel, as they're only 4 teams, but i guess the glass is half full isnt it ! The U/15's on the saturday was grading day, and it was fairly tough competition, but alot of people were dropping like flies (getting injured) because of the extruciating heat that comes across Mildura usually. Luckily I didn't i pretty much skulled around 5 SUPER pumps, you know the mammoth pumps, and also gobbled down a bucket full of fruit LOL. Oh and not...
